It was a looong painful day, and all I wished for is to get home quickly. I feel like the most miserable person and was just whining to Allah.
Initially, I hesitated to pray ashr at the hospital before leaving, I thought it's easier to pray back home. I have time anyways: it was 2 hours to Maghrib. But.. I figured I need to. I need that space of comfort and peace. And mashaAllah He guided me to go the the musalla and made me pray beside a woman who's wearing a green hijab, which I assume to be Turkish.
So after shalat, she greeted me. And yes she is Turkish, and a very beautiful one. So in return of her question, I asked her why she was here. I didn't expect her answer at all,
"I just lost my mom 10 minutes ago.."
And for a brief moment my heart instantly stopped. My eyes started to water. When in contrary she looked calm and strong.
She said,
"It's okay. By Allah's mercy.. I just.."
she was lost in words..
Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun.
"It was brain tumor, she was 58, all family was here, alhamdulillah.. Allah's mercy.."
I said, I miss my mom.. she's back in Indonesia. She genuinely said her prayers.
"Oh may Allah bless her a long life.."
And so I said my prayers for her mom.
And I ask anyone who's reading this.. to also have a brief moment to do so.
I'm literally speechless how Allah reminds me through this beautiful lady with a beautiful soul..
Because the next minute she disappeared with her husband after saying salaam. As if 'by coincidence' Allah plans it. Any other scenario might be possible, but Allah wants me to reflect on myself:
Here I am, feeling the most miserable person yet she just was so full of gratitude and ease..
Astaghfirullah..
And We have enjoined upon man, to his parents, good treatment. His mother carried him with hardship and gave birth to him with hardship, and his gestation and weaning [period] is thirty months. [He grows] until, when he reaches maturity and reaches [the age of] forty years, he says, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to work righteousness of which You will approve and make righteous for me my offspring. Indeed, I have repented to You, and indeed, I am of the Muslims."
