One thing I realized throughout my stay in London is the presence of many halal shops & butchers owned by diverse muslim community. Some conversations I had, got me thinking about the refugees. So I picked this book up. It will definitely haunt me for a couple of days. The Beekeeper of Aleppo taught me more than a heart-breaking journey of Syrian refugees couple, but a whole new perspective on a person state of mind. Let's keep our brothers and sisters in our duas.

“O Allah, Almighty. Please watch over all those travellers who do not wish to travel. Who have been forced from their homes and who have faced unimaginable struggle. Make their journey easy for them. Guide them to relief. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ O Allah, have mercy on us for our sins – forgive us for this tragedy and let us be among those who do only good work for the betterment of humanity for your sake. Aameen.”
